In the Presence of Yearlings

"In the Presence of Yearlings"

In a quiet place a group of yearlings watch a Milk Maid as she gazes into the distance. Somehow, in the presence of the very young we inadvertently look to our own lives and try to foresee the great and wonderful places, people, and loves that await us. The Milk Maid pauses for a moment from the daily dawn to dusk grind to take a small journey away from her little farm and its closeness to the wider world that awaits her.

"Candlelight "

Before electricity, throughout the farms and villages of America, the glow of candlelight illuminated the faces of our loved ones each evening. Here, the power of a single candle reveals a young farmer's daughter, still wearing her bonnet. The flicker of the candle casts odd shadows softening the edges of her gingham dress so that all appears out of focus; except for her eyes, as they look back at you across time.

Vanishing Breed

"Vanishing Breed"

As you drive through the great farming valleys of California, you begin to appreciate the hundreds of ancient barns that were once the pride of their owners and valued tools to working farms and ranches. Today, they stand weathered, sagging and abandoned. But somehow, their beauty has grown and the hopes and dreams of their builders is reflected in their defiant stance against the elements and time.

"Story Time"

A father and New York Fireman, reads to his children almost every evening when he's home. For the kids, it's a treat they look forward to and circle around him on the small couch listening intently as he ignites their imaginations by his words and presence, and the glow of the love they share.
